Monthly Letter From the Principal
Dear Parents,
Due to the many important events that occur in early June, this issue of the Crusader Connection is for May and June.
We are entering the last four weeks of the semester with many things going on. As the seniors prepare for their graduation, it is important that they finish their high school years on a high note. Grades and behavior still matter. With a nine-week grade and exam grade still to go-the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors have the opportunity to enhance their position with colleges by raising their GPA’s.
The Junior/Senior Prom is May 17 at Nauticus. The Post Prom Party is at the Great Neck Recreation Center. Please talk with your sons and daughters about appropriate behavior before, during, and after the Prom. The Post Prom Party is a fun safe way for them to spend the rest of Prom Night and they may win a car.
Important dates in May and June:
- May 4 Parent/Senior Banquet 5:45 in the cafeteria
- May 5-16 AP Exams
- May 14 National Honor Society Induction
- May 16 Faculty Recognition Luncheon ½ day for students
- May 20 Grandparents Day 10:00AM and Academic Awards Night 7:00 PM in the Theater
- May 22 Spring Athletic Awards- JV 8:00AM and Varsity 7:00PM in the Cafeteria
- May 23 will be a school HOLIDAY since we did not use any inclement weather days this year.
- June 2-6 Exams
- June 8 Baccalaureate 7:00PM at St. Mark Catholic Church
- June 9 Graduation 7:30 PM Chrysler Hall
- June 12 report card pick-up 8-10PM
- June 12 and 17 books accepted for consignment 8:00-11:00AM
Congratulations to all our seniors. I hope their final weeks here at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High are enjoyable and that they are successful and happy in the coming years.
