Writing Contest

Congratulations to Micheala Bryant who won 1st place in the 15th annual Virginia Outdoor Writers Association (VOWA) Youth Writing Contest.  The goal of the contest is to reward young people for excellence in communicating their personal experiences in and of the outdoors.

Micheala's entry will be published on the VOWA web site, in a future issue of the Virginia Wildlife magazine, and other related outlets.  Micheala will receive her award on Wednesday, March 19th at the VOWA Annual Meeting in Charlottesville where the guest speaker will be Bob Duncan, newly appointed Agency Director for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
