• CHS Girls soccer team
places first in tourney...
The Varsity Girls Soccer team won
the George Scott Soccer Classic on Saturday, March 15. The tournament
was hosted by Peninsula Catholic.
The girls put together impressive 14-0, 5-0, and 3-1 wins Friday
and Saturday. It was a great team effort, and we also garnered
some individual honors:
Haley Self (Freshmen) and Paige Dwyer (Junior)
were named to the "All Tournament Team."
Lauren Bator (Freshmen) was named the "Best
Striker." Caroline Banks (Junior) was named
the "Tournament MVP."
• Three students honored
for Artwork..
On March 15th, Mary Keenehan was
selected as an honoree to exhibit her Holocaust Victim sculpture
and another Raku piece at the Contemporary Arts Center in Virginia
Beach. Out of the 12 or so high schools in Virginia Beach
only 6 people were selected.
Caitlin Murphy and Kayla Wittersheim were
selected as Finalist and their work will be exhibited at the Chrysler.
They will be eligible to win cash awards. Caitlin entered an
oil still life and a drawing of children during the Holocaust.
Kayla entered two photographs depicting a tree against a colorful
sky.
• CHS team takes 1st
place in GCC...
Congratulations to the Desktop
Presentations team
(Emily Anderson, Lauren Ciampoli and Edwina
DeLeon ). They took a FIRST place in the Great Computer
Challenge held on Saturday March 15th at Old Dominion University.

Student wins writing contest...
Micheala Bryant was
awarded first prize in the Virginia Outdoors Writers Association
Youth Writing Contest.

Blue Crab Bowl Team Wins!
The Bishop Sullivan CHS entry to
the 2008 edition of the Blue Crab Bowl took first place and will
head to Seward, Alaska in late April for the National Ocean Science
Bowl.

standout, Elizabeth Hickey, set the NCAA Div III record for career blocked
shots.

at Bishop Sullivan CHS, was awarded the 2007 Virginia Sports Hall of
Fame Student Athletic Achievement Award.
