Student and Parent accounts:
Both students and parents can create accounts and order books. ( https://k12sd.com/
) Students must use their CHSVB email address to sign up for an account. Parents should link their account to their child’s account for better order tracking (here's how
). Even if you decide not to purchase from K12SD
, your account will give you access to book titles, ISBNs and additional information about course materials. For students in courses that use some eBooks, their login credentials will be found on the K12SD website.
Books can be ordered throughout the summer and delivery can be scheduled for a particular date to accommodate summer vacations, etc. Orders are processed within 24 hours. New summer reading books will be available on the site beginning May 3; used copies will still be available through Mrs. Schrader.
“Bag-It / WAG-It”:
During second semester exam week through report card distribution day we accept books for the K12SD buyback through our “Bag-It” (former "Wrap and Go" -WAG) program. Students or parents will complete a form (available online or from Mrs. Schrader) and place books and the form in bags we will supply. We distribute a list of accepted book titles and editions (books being used in the upcoming school year) In early May. The amount paid for books is determined by K12SD based on the condition of the book. Any books submitted to K12SD that are not on the "eligible" list will receive no credit. (Books that are determined not to be in resale condition will not receive credit and K12SD charges a shipping fee if you want them returned. If you are unsure whether you books are in resale condition, Mrs. Schrader will be happy to look them over.)
Because K12SD does not buy back any used novels (English readers), Bishop Sullivan CHS will be accepting them for re-sale, as in the past. In addition, Bishop Sullivan CHS will also accept the Discrete Math and College Algebra text books.
Alternate Sellback Service:
Families can sell books back directly to K12SD for credit by logging into their K12SD, checking the eligibility of their books for buyback, generating a list of books and printing out a packing slip and pre-paid shipping label. Once the books have been received and their condition verified, a payment is issued to the seller.
The Fine Print:
Order Early: While K12SD will have a dedicated inventory for our school to ensure that enough books are available, the earlier you buy, the more likely used books will be available, which will reduce your total purchase price.
Returns: Students have fourteen days from the school’s course drop/add date to return books. Books must be in the same condition as when purchased.
Non-book Items: Because our on-site bookstore will be selling only used paperbacks and a few used textbooks, many of the non-textbook items will either be available from the K12SD store or the Crusader Shoppe.
