  • TECH, TRAINING, AND TREASURE - Opening for Tech Dept Summer Job

    TECH, TRAINING, AND TREASURE: If you add a tan, it sounds like a great summer. The Tech Department is looking to interview candidates to fill an (up to) 20 hours a week paid position to assist with a variety of duties. Duties will include moving workstations, unpacking inventory, configuring Chromebooks, and more. Training will be provided. You bring the energy! Please fill out this form. If you have questions, email Mrs. Mulholland (mulhollandn@chsvb.org) or stop by the Tech Office, Room 211 for further information.

  • Self-Nomination for Honor Council for 2019-2020

    Honor Council Elections for the 2019-2020 School Year:   Honor Council elections for representatives to serve next year will occur starting Tuesday, May 28. There are 2 spots open for rising Sophomores, 3 spots for rising Juniors, and 2 spots for rising Seniors. If you wish to be considered for one of the positions, self-nomination forms are available from Mrs. Bonvie in the guidance office through this Friday. All classes also received an email with this form. Nomination forms should then be turned into Mrs. Gillis in the main office no later than this coming Friday, May 24. Please remember there is no campaigning for these positions; however, students are encouraged to speak with the candidates about their positions and motivations for running. If you are interested in how the honor council serves the school or in being a council member, or if you have any questions, please see Mr. Covington, Mrs. Gallagher, Mrs. Sweeney or one of the current council members.
  • Get Involved - Run for Executive or Class Council

    EXECUTIVE AND CLASS COUNCIL ELECTIONS: If you are interested in running for an Executive or Class Council position on SCA for the 2019-2020 school year, please see Mrs. Sweeney in room 118 to pick up a form. This is a great way to get involved and make a difference in our school. There are 6 positions available for Executive Council and 3 positions per grade for Class Council.  Forms are due to Mrs. Sweeney by Wednesday, May 22nd. Voting for Executive Council will take place on Friday, May 24th and Class Council elections will take place on Tuesday, May 28th. Please see Mrs. Sweeney with any questions!

    AP Environmental Science brings you THE RETURN OF THE PENNY WARS:   OUR CAUSE: Reduce disposable plastic in the school by replacing water fountains with Water Bottle Refill Fountains.
    HOW CAN YOU HELP? Come to Room 215 with your pennies and place them in your labeled class collection bottle.
    HOW CAN YOU SUBTRACT POINTS FROM COMPETING CLASSES? Place silver coins (quarters, dimes, and nickels) in competing class collection bottles. Each silver coin subtracts points from the penny points.
    WHAT IS THE REWARD FOR WINNING? Dress down for exams with BSCHS tops and sweat bottoms/jeans.
    HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO DONATE? The Penny Wars between Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will run from Monday, May 20th through Friday, May 24th. Staff and Faculty are encouraged to donate to their class of preference.

  • En Christe Service Opportunity for the Summer

    En Christe Service Opportunity for the Summer:  Spots are still available to volunteer with our popular service partner, Horizons Hampton Roads this summer!  Students serve for one full week in the summer, with bus transport to/from BSCHS each day.  You will be a classroom aid with elementary-aged children at the Portsmouth Catholic Campus. Please download the Horizons volunteer form and the BSCHS Permission slip from the Campus Ministry website, and bring them with your $25 transportation fee to Mrs. Harmeyer to sign up.  Available weeks include:  July 8-12, July 15-19, and July 22-26.
