Liturgy and Prayer

The Eucharist is at the literal center of our school - the Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the Fraim Family Chapel, where students, faculty, and staff pray daily in the presence of the Lord. The door is always open for personal devotion.

The most important hour of our week at CHS is our school-wide celebration of Holy Mass on Wednesdays and Holy Days. Our liturgies are facilitated by student and faculty Lectors, Sacristans, Servers, Ushers, Sound Crew, Music Ministers, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. We also celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation twice yearly, during the seasons of Advent and Lent, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at our Retreats and frequently throughout the year in the Chapel.

Our school day begins and ends in prayer, with reflections written and read by student ministers. All major events, celebrations, trips, games, and competitions are punctuated with prayer, as our students communally and individually walk alongside their Lord in all areas of their lives.

The Fraim Family Chapel

Dedicated in honor of Thelma L. Fraim, the Fraim Family Chapel is where students, faculty, and staff pray daily in the presence of the Lord. The door is always open for personal devotion. We celebrate Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Confession, and many holy moments of group and personal prayer in this beautiful space. The Chapel was made possible through the generosity of the Fraim family, who honored their mother’s strength and sacrifice, putting all five of her children through Catholic school after their father passed away at a very young age.
