Catholic High School

Special Events

Although the purpose of our fundraisers is to offer financial support for interests directly benefiting our students and our mission, we are eager to provide social opportunities for our families to extend the welcoming spirit within our Catholic High School community.

Grand Auction

Auction 2020

One of the most exciting events that the Advancement Office facilitates is the Annual Grand Auction. The school's largest annual event, the Auction celebrates the spirit and generosity that make Catholic High School a truly special place. Featuring fabulous auction items, delicious food, and spirited social revelry, the Auction is truly a special occasion, and all the more so for the cause it supports. Join us for our next Auction and bid your way through a beautiful, bountiful evening.

Crusader Classic Golf Tournament

Every Spring brings our community together for the annual Crusader Classic Golf Tournament. Alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and even some students enjoy a great round of golf followed by dinner and raffle prizes. Rally your foursome, classmates, family, or co-workers or register individually and meet some new Crusader friends and hit the links with us!

The 2024 Crusader Classic Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May 17 at Cypress Point Golf Course

Crusader 5k and Mini Crusader Mile Run

The Crusader 5k and Mini Crusader Mile Run is one of our newest annual fundraising events! Whether you walk, jog, or run, come out and show your support for our students and our school! The run is open to adults and children of all ages. Proceeds from the race will go directly to support the students of Catholic High School. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2023 race date! If you’re interested in being a sponsor for next year’s Crusader 5k, please contact Samantha Haynes at hayness@chsvb.org.
*Due to the construction of the new TowneBank Athletic Pavilion, there will be no Crusader 5k during the 2023-2024 school year.

Homecoming

Each fall we welcome back alumni to celebrate with our Crusader community at our annual Homecoming festivities! During Spirit Week, the school is transformed as our student’s creativity is showcased through their artwork and hallway designs. Throughout the week, students and faculty dress up daily in theme appropriate attire and participate in fun games and activities, culminating in a pep rally full of school spirit! The week concludes honoring past, present, and future Crusaders at the Homecoming game. Half-time festivities feature a parade of floats and convertibles, escorting honored guests and our homecoming court following by the crowning of our Queen and King. On Saturday night, students enjoy a Homecoming Dance sponsored by the National Honor Society.
